A dynamic force in the dance community with a lifelong passion for movement that began at age 7, Deidre’s skills were honed under the tutelage of Crystal Newby-Reynolds at the Arts Conservatory, Inc. Her ballet and modern training were further honed under the guidance of teaching artists from prestigious institutions such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Dance Theater of Harlem, Garden State Ballet, and Newark's Gallman Dance Theater.
Deidre’s journey continued as a principal dancer with Vissi Dance Theater while pursuing her B.S. in Communication Arts at St. John’s University, where she graced iconic stages such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and City Center. In 2013, fueled by a mission to empower young Black and Brown dancers, Deidre founded Elevé Dance Theater—a nurturing sanctuary for talent to thrive. Under her visionary leadership, the organization has provided young students of color with comprehensive training and cultivated a legacy of excellence. With over three decades of dedication to the art, and an unwavering love and passion for dance,
Deidre continues to inspire the next generation of dancers.
